After the announcement that a Staten Island grand jury's will not indict NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo in the death of Eric Garner, protesters and police are back in the streets of New York, only days after protests there over a different grand jury's decision not to indict a police officer in the death a different, unarmed black man, Michael Brown

Protesters moved up and down Manhattan, from Union Square to Harlem. These photos document an evening of demonstration that occurred outside Rockefeller Center, near Herald Square, and onto the West Side Highway, where protesters successfully brought traffic to a halt.
