It's almost been unspoken word that eventually Grand Theft Auto V would make it's way to PC. Now it seems that may happen sooner than expected.

Multiple reports are pointing towards GTA making it's PC debut as early as the first quarter of 2014. Rockstar has remained relatively quiet about the possibility of a PC platform, but multiple industry sources believe they are moving in that direction.

The belief is that Rockstar's plan mirrors that of GTA IV, which was released on consoles in April 2008 and made it's way to PC eight months later in December.

When asked about the possibility by gaming site EuroGamer, Rockstar offered nothing new but rather redirected them to a press release from earlier in the year.

Rockstar had then said, "The only versions of the game that we have announced are for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 which are set for a September 17th worldwide release. We don't have anything to share about the possibility of a next-gen or a PC platform release at this time and we are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the consoles people have right now."

Rockstar could be feeling a little pressure to get the ball rolling on a PC release. Nearly 600,000 people have signed a petition through Change.org in hopes of bringing the mega franchise to a computer near you.
