14. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009)
How can you ignore the wishes of more than 20 million players in a list like this? You can't. Modern Warfare 2, though quite similar to its predecessor (some would argue exactly like its predecessor) upped the firepower for its second go-round, introducing enough trans-continental, geo-political drama to make the Arab Spring events look like an orderly line for Pink Berry. Infinity Ward also boosted its wildly popular multi-player mode with new guns, new perks, and (of course) new selectable killstreaks that taught us to never let anyone get 25 kills in a row.
