Blizzard Launches Teaser Site for New 'StarCraft' Game

We all know viral marketing can work wonders—hell, here we are, talking about a teaser site with a  "Project Blackstone" icon that Blizzard just put up. The Terran logo from Starcraft sits at the center.

Entering the password "Y7_$0>0k_3<$m," discovered by some redditors, reveals a message from "Dr. Helek Branamoor, PhD Chairman on Dominion Xenostudies, Imperial Science Advisor, and Chief of Research for Project Blackstone." Branamoor was apparently featured in a 2000 Starcraft ebook and has something to do with series villain Kerrigan, as more redditors pointed out.

There are several Twitter accounts that appear to be linked to the Project as well—see here, here, here, and here for a few of them.

Until Blizzard reveals more hints we have no way of knowing with this augmented reality game is a promotion for StarCraft 2 or something completely different—a new expansion, a new standalone StarCraft game, or something we can't predict. Stay tuned and keep an eye out, though, because it looks like it's going to be pretty exciting for StarCraft fans.
