We used to play Wii titles like Super Mash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii with the GameCube controller, but the Wii U doesn't have the right ports to plug it in. And the Wii U's Pro Controller may offer more precise dual analog controls than the GamePad does, but for some that's not enough—especially since the Pro Controller is not compatible with classic Wii games.
That doesn't leave many control options for certain games, which is no doubt what inspired accessory maker Datel to create an adapter that makes the Wii U compatible with Sony's dualshock PS2 controller.
The kit goes on sale next week in Japan for around $25. There's no indication yet that it'll ever be available in the rest of the world, but we certainly hope it will be. Have you found the Wii U's controller options lacking? Would a PS2 controller solve that problem?
