Starting next week the original Doom 3 will be available once again on Steam.
The original game was taken down and replaced with the newer, and more expensive, Doom 3: BFG Edition. Players cried foul when BFG was almost universally derided as an inferior title. Performance issues combined with BFG not supporting mods, were just a few of the complaints players had with the game.
The Doom 3 pack with expansion will cost $12.99, Doom 3 on its own will cost $9.99 and the expansion will be discounted to $4.99. We can all thank the maker that we will be able to head back to Mars and dust demons the old-fashioned way.
