'Jet Set Radio' Hitting Vita Next Tuesday with Portable PlayStation Plus Update

The quirky Dreamcast cult hit Jet Set Radio was supposed to come out on PS Vita Oct. 16, but the game was delayed with little explanation and no word on when it might actually arrive. Now that's changed, though the news of an actual date for the game didn't come how we expected it to.

Instead of saying "Jet Set Radio will hit PS Vita next Tuesday," Sony announced on the PlayStation Blog that the subscription-based PlayStation Plus service will arrive on PS Vita on Monday, and a half-dozen portable games will be added for PS Plus member on Tuesday. Oh, and one of them will be Jet Set Radio. Interesting, no?

The other new PS Plus games will be Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, Wipeout 2048, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack!, and the PSP's port of the PS1 classic Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.

PS Plus, which also allows for cloud saves and other perks, will hit the Vita as part of the system's 2.0 firmware update. That update will also grant it an email app, improved web browsing, and wireless content transfer between the Vita and a PC.

Is the $50 a year (or $17.99 for three months) worth it for a PS Plus subscription? What about now the you can take advantage of it on your Vita too?
