"You'd make a great live-action Gordon Freeman. Let's make a fan-film."
It was that statement that got this film made for just over $30,000 in under a year. Of course, if we were casting fan-films based on video game characters on looks alone, I would play a pretty dashing Slender Man. Just saying is all.
Made by a group of fans in a cottage in Hollywood over two nights, the short film has all of the fan favorites. Head crabs, crowbar violence, HEV suits, and a laconic Gordon Freeman all make an appearance. Granted Gordon does speak, and that is a big no no, but we are willing to overlook that on account of how awesome this film is.
