10 Things We Learned From Playing "Assassin's Creed 3"

It's easy to get around

When we began our hours-long demo, we relished in the opportunity to hop on Connor's trusty steed (which we later accidentally traded for another when we rope-darted a hapless civilian off of his mount) and explore the countryside. We lazily and haphazardly made our winding way to Boston, simply enjoying the scenery and the numerous wolf packs that tried to make Connor their lunch.

Connor's horse is always just a whistle blow away. But when it came time to head all the way back to the homestead (a considerable journey, have no doubt), we were pleased to find the option to fast travel directly from the map screen.

Of course, sometimes the fastest way to get somewhere is still on foot, and Connor's enormous warship—more on that on the next slide—provides still yet another option. And we're betting there are some (wagon rides?) that we didn't experience at all.
