Does "Minecraft" Need Guns? Find Out in "Brick-Force," Which Launched Today

Of course there's a little more to it than that, but yes, the basic premise of Brick-Force is Minecraft with guns.

Don't act so surprised. This has even been done before, by a game called (imaginatively) Guncraft, which entered beta some time ago, and StarForge, which may be too ambitious for its own good.

Brick-Force brings some fundamental changes to the Minecraft formula, of course, the most noticeable of which in the trailer is the ability to build/deconstruct blocks from a distance.

But Brick-Force also features upgradeable items and equipment, PvP modes like "Build 'n Destroy," and PvE modes like "Defense." And it's already got a reported 1 million registered players.

It runs in Unity 3D and is playable from your web browser. Check it out at and let us know what you think in the comments or on Twitter.
