"Human Element" is Robotoki's Take on Zombie Survival

Robert Bowling, the ex-face of Call of Duty who recently decided to go his own way, has finally started talking about his new studio's first project, a zombie-themed survival game called Human Element.

Speaking with Game Informer, Bowling explained that, as the name the implies, Human Element will focus less on the zombies and more on dealing with people and their reactions to the apocalyptic scenario.

“Their greatest strength is the fear that [zombies] instill in us, the survivors, that unreasonable fear. Unreasonable fear that leads us to do unreasonable things to survive," said Bowling.

The game's take on character customization aims to make the experience fairly malleable right from the get-go. In addition to choosing of three character classes, (Action, Intelligence, or Stealth) players will be asked to choose an "identity", which dictates what kind of scenario you'll be thrown into: You can choose to go it alone, work with a partner, or be put in the care of a child.

“How you choose to start in the world will determine how you can engage and impacts the scenarios you will be presented with on a physical and morality level.”

Human Element is expected to come out in 2014 on next-gen consoles, PC, tablets, and mobile platforms in 2015.
