The BBC Thinks Master Chief Should Run the United Nations Security Council

A funny little gaming-themed mix-up occurred during a BBC newscast on Thursday. During a segment about the conflict in Syria and the United Nations on the BBC's One O'Clock News Show, a set of logos were used represent the subjects of the story, including the Syrian flag and the U.N.S.C. logo.

Except the logo isn't for the "U.N.S.C." they're talking about. It's the logo for "United Nations Space Command", the human military from the Halo series.

Though the BBC caught the mistake after the initial broadcast and have taken the clip down from their site, the segment has made its way to YoutubeIn the days since the broadcast the BBC has officially recognized the mistake and apologized to viewers over the gaff.

"BBC News makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all images broadcast, however very occasionally mistakes do happen," said a BBC representitive. "Unfortunately an incorrect logo was used during a segment on last week's News at One bulletin and we apologise to viewers for the mistake."

In other news, the UN Security Council will vote today on whether to have their weekly Halo tournament in "Sword Base" or "Powerhouse"...
