Mojang's "Humble Bundle Mojam" Charity Development Marathon Is Streaming Live Now

Although the Peter Molyneux dating sim set in post-apocalyptic Candy Land we were hoping for is likely never going to happen, Mojang's Humble Bundle Mojam is currently underway, and the genre and theme ya'll voted on is probably going to turn out better anyway.

The Minecraft company is developing a real-time strategy/shoot 'em up hybrid set in a steampunk version of ancient Egypt, and they're doing it all in 60 hours while you watch. Check out the live stream at HumbleBundle.com, and consider donating—all the proceeds will go to Child's Play, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the American Red Cross, and Charity: Water.

They're currently hovering around $140,000, but there's still almost 50 hours left, and Notch said previously that if they get to $1 million he'll shave his beard (although we're not entirely sure we'd want to see that). Making a donation will also get you the game when it's complete.

Are you excited to watch the game development process in action? What about getting a new Mojang game? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
