"Modern Warfare 3" DLC Will Finally Be Available To Non-Elite Members March 20

The first Modern Warfare 3 DLC for players not subscribed to Activision's Call of Duty Elite program will finally go live on March 20, a week after Elite member receive drops 4-6 (one map and two spec ops missions) for free. The map, Black Box, is centered around a downed Air Force One plane in suburban California. The missions are Black Ice and Negotiator; the former sends you into a diamond mine to plant explosives, and the latter has you breaching rooms to extract hostages.

Non-Elite players won't get to pick and choose which of the first six drops they want, as they'll all be packed together in the "Content Collection #1" bundle. That includes the maps Liberation, Piazza, Overwatch, and Black Box, as well as the missions Black Ice and Negotiator. This is the first time in CoD history that spec ops missions have been released as downloadable content.

A price point is not mentioned. If past drops are anything to go by, players on PS3 should get drops 4-6 and the DLC bundle four or five weeks later, so expect them in late April. Happy you'll finally be able to buy the DLC without subscribing to Elite? Any PS3 players out there feeling screwed over? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
