Rockstar Runs Job Ad For "Next-Gen Consoles" Help, Then Removes it When Internet Notices

Rockstar Runs Job Ad For "Next-Gen Consoles" Help, Then Removes it When Internet NoticesWrong Rockstar? Shut up.

Rockstar posted a job ad full-on last year that mentioned "next-gen consoles", though the internet apparently didn't notice until yesterday. As soon as we did notice, however, Rockstar promptly changed the wording of the ad, without comment.

It used to read: "We'd like to hear from the industry's most talented environment artists. You will be designing, building and texturing the world, have the technical knowledge to achieve great looking results and the skill to get the most from next-gen consoles."

Now, though, the last line's been changed to "to achieve the highest quality results within budget."

It's obvious they took the "next-gen" reference out to quell pointless speculation, but that sure as hell isn't going to stop us. Why was it there in the first place? Were they referring to the Wii U, or the Xbox-Next/PS4? Sony recently said they've got no plans to show off a new console at E3 2012, but Microsoft hasn't come out with any equivalent statements, as far as we know.

Would you like to see Grand Theft Auto V on the Wii U? What about other Rockstar games on next-gen consoles? How about Red Dead Redemption 2? That's pure speculation, folks, but be sure to add your two cents in the comments or on Twitter.
