Original "Command and Conquer" is Playable in Your Browser

Command and Conquer, the original real time strategy game, has been ported to your web browser using HTML5 and Javascript magic. It took programmer Aditya Ravi Shankar a full month of 18-hour work days, during which he suffered from fevers and, presumably, really messed up dreams. Was it worth it? You be the judge (scroll down).

Read more about the process here. It works best in Firefox or Chrome, and though it's far from perfect, Shankar acknowledges that there's a lot of work to be done. Regardless, it's a good thing it's a holiday, because we're going to be wasting a lot of time on this today.
