To call Microsoft’s Kinect sensor a success would be like calling Kobe Bryant a pretty good basketball player. Within its first two months in stores, the motion sensor system had outsold every other consumer electronic device, according to the Guinness Book of Records. Apparently the momentum hasn’t stopped, as Microsoft announced today that Kinect has surpassed the 10 million mark in worldwide sales. With full control over Xbox Live, as well as Hulu and Netflix support coming this spring—plus Avatar Kinect and a slew of new games—Kinect will probably be king for awhile. Of course, if the 3DS lives up to the hype, we may be writing a similar story about Nintendo. Or even the PlayStation Move. We keed, we keed!
