"Alice: Madness Returns" Will Trip Us Out On June 14

EA's been on a roll recently with the fan service. Now you can add American McGee's ultraviolent take on Alice in Wonderland to the list. At today's Game Developers Conference, word on the game's release date was announced via a private event. Seems like it wasn't all that private, since we all now know that the game's dropping on June 14. For those who have no clue what a "McGee" is or why this game even matters, allow us to bring you up to speed. This game is a sequel to 2001's American McGee's Alice, in which PC gamers got to experience the classic tale of Alice in an unsettlingly gruesome fashion. Shanghai Studio's Crazy Horse Games are hard at work sprucing this baby up for its summer drop date. In this second iteration, Alice must cope with the mental anguish caused by the loss of her whole family in a fire. Oh, and she goes on a wild shanking spree along the way. Sounds like proper therapy to us. [via CVG]
