Sure, he may have more than 200 games to his name, but Mario's success is mostly due to his perennial pushover adversary in King Koopa. Seriously, who locks himself in his own fortress and waits it out in a single room while standing on a collapsible bridge over HOT MAGMA?

It's not an anticlimactic ending.. the AI just didnt respond properly.

This wasnt the final boss. the final boss was Deadalus. this was the boss for chicago. But Deadalus was the final Boss for the game.

I remember this fight and I almost smashed my TV until I learned about having to hold the block button at the end. I agree it was totally lame.

Kind of disagree with you on this one. I thought this Final Boss battle was something different and unexpected.

I disagree here. This wasn't really meant to be a "battle" in the true video game sense but more of plot point in the story.
