Clark Kent:

This is your boy, Brooklyn's finest, the New York Giant, God's favorite DJ Clark Kent. And this is my man.

Russ Bengtson:

Russ Bengtson who has no titles to speak of. And this is Quickstrike.

Clark Kent:

Reebok's DMX 10 Run.

Russ Bengtson:

First out in '97.

Clark Kent:

Dope shit. They're bringing it back in the original colorways they're also bringing it back in the navy and brass. And they're 120 dollars.

Russ Bengtson:

Yo, so we go even more classic than the DMX with the New Balance 1300.

Clark Kent:

Day Trippers.

Russ Bengtson:

The Day Trippers have been happening for a little bit. This is a rust colored sunset 1300.

Clark Kent:

There's also the New Balance 574 Yacht Club edition. Pretty nice, it's probably going to be nice the price also. We can't forget the Nike Sportswear version of the Lebron X.

Russ Bengtson:

No one can forget the cork Lebrons. People have been waiting for these for a very, very, very long time.

Clark Kent:

Yeah, as soon as they won that championship I think these were like everywhere.

Russ Bengtson:

And people were probably starting to line up outside of UNKNWN in Miami and 21 Mercer. Shoutouts to all you guys lined up...

Clark Kent:

...a couple of boarding houses set up outside of 21 Mercer.

Russ Bengtson:

Like Nike shantytown going on.

Clark Kent:

There are definitely cardboard houses outside of there right now. When these come out it's going to be a problem.

Russ Bengtson:

And these are people who have only seen pictues on the Internet. As a matter of fact let's get a little deeper into these releases. Start the shot clock. Yo, I think you kind of agree with me. Modern releases, kind of crazy.

Clark Kent:

Kind of whack. Russ

Bengtson:

Lining up, RSVP'ing on Twitter, via DM...

Clark Kent:

...What is RSVP'ing? What if I don't have a Twitter?

Russ Bengtson:

Then I guess no sneakers for you.

Clark Kent:

That's whack too. RSVP'ing is whack because that means that somebody's watching, going I don't like his Twitter name. No, I don't like the way he asked me. Then somebody can be a. You don't get to do the shopping experience. That's whack. You should walk into a store. You should like what you're buying first. You should know what you're buying first. You should know how it fits also.

Russ Bengtson:

And look, the way it is now not only do people not try shoes on before they buy them ...they're not trying them on after they buy them.

Clark Kent:

Right, they're taking pictures, and then they're throwing an Instagram saying, I got this. Then the company gets you back and hits you with a restock. Stupid!

Russ Bengtson:

So here's my idea. Why do you even need the shoe? Why don't you just pay the 200 dollars. Nike sends a professional photographer with the shoes to your house. You get the picture...

Clark Kent:

...Nike even says you got the shoe.

Russ Bengtson:

You don't have to find a place to keep them. You don't have to have stacks of shoes in your apartment. It's perfect.

Clark Kent:

Just don't buy them!

Russ Bengtson:

I want to talk about this new Adidas running shoe, the Energy Boost, designed in partnership with BASF. You might remember BASF.

Clark Kent:

Is that the BASF that used to make the multi-track reels that we used to use. They're making sneakers?

Russ Bengtson:

Hey, they don't just make stuff.

Clark Kent:

They make stuff better.

Russ Bengtson:

They're apparently blowing together capsules in high pressure steam. The tech's a little beyond me. The shoe looks great. It's under 10 ounces.

Clark Kent:

And I think they're like 150 dollars, right? Russ Bengtson: Yeah. Clark Kent: That's a pretty decent...

Russ Bengtson:

...so I mean around about high end running shoe price, yeah.

Clark Kent:

Me, I want a little more traditional, a little more regular like I usually do. We leave him to be off center. I got the hyper dunking Undefeated Dunk High The Pack. It's called the Bringback Pack and they mean that they brought back the original Dunk that was only given to friends, family, and staff. There were only 40 pairs when they were made in 2004. No, you don't have those, and if you do you paid a pretty penny or you're really cool with my ma Eddie. It's good to see something so simple, so clean hit the market again. Undefeated, you do it right. Russ Bengtson: Bring back the Ballistic ones. Make those available.

Clark Kent:

No, make two pair available...

Russ Bengtson:

A 13 and a 10.

Clark Kent:

For us. I'm good with that.

Clark Kent:

That was sneaker of the week.

Russ Bengtson:

Thanks a lot for joining us for another episode of Quickstrike even if you didn't Twitter RSVP to be here.

Clark Kent:

We're just glad that you're here. But, remember, wear your kicks.

Russ Bengtson:

And, we will be restocking episodes soon, so stay tuned.
