DJ Clark:

Oh, welcome. I'm DJ Clark Kent. This my boy, Russ.

Russ:

Yeah, this is Quickstrike.

DJ Clark:

I guess we got to get to The Drop.

Russ:

All right, yeah. So let's talk about the Shaq Attaq, which drops...

DJ Clark:

 No. The Reebok Shaq Attaq.

Russ:

 It drops right now.

DJ Clark:

 Now.

Russ:

We need to actually leave and go pick them up, but anyway, Shaq Attaq big time pump, had that big carbon plate in it.

DJ Clark:

That was his first shoe, and, to me, Shaq's best looking shoe.

Russ:

I agree. That was actually my favorite Shaq shoe, and this is something we agree on, which doesn't happen too often.

DJ Clark:

 But it's okay. Barkley Posites.

Russ:

 Barkley Posites. Yes.

DJ Clark:

 76ers. this is colorful.

Russ:

This is more of you than me.

DJ Clark:

Yes. I swear to God. Mark Dolce, you make shoes so properly that I could never be mad with the things that you do. 76ers colors on those Barkleys, they're sick.

Russ:

"I am not a role model" on the soles.

DJ Clark:

 Perfect.

Russ:

Where Sir Charles is usually like . . .

DJ Clark:

Glow on the bottom. Those drop tomorrow.

Russ:

 Those do.

DJ Clark:

 Right.

Russ:

 Those do.

DJ Clark:

When they're going to be fire.

Russ:

 Shaq, then Barkley.

DJ Clark:

Then Jordan, the hare or the Bugs.

Russ:

Let's just call them the home Jordans.

DJ Clark:

I just call them home Jordans.

Russ:

 There weren't that many colors.

DJ Clark:

I don't make names for sneakers.

Russ:

I don't know who does that, but whatever.

DJ Clark:

The kids do that. Anyway, the Elites.

Russ:

We have Elite. Kobe. LeBron. KD.

DJ Clark:

Hold on. Elites. I think it's better to call the shoes Elites than to call them PSes like they did before. They called them PSes.

Russ:

I would agree with that. I would agree with that.

DJ Clark:

Because they might not get to the post season.

Russ:

Elite's better. I mean, we'll get into that in a minute, but, I mean, the shoes themselves are dope.

DJ Clark:

 Sorry Kobe.

Russ:

 The shoes themselves are dope.

DJ Clark:

They need to make an elite Carmelo shoe.

Russ:

You know what, we got all this postseason stuff. The Elites drop on the 27th, which is coming up.

DJ Clark:

 Absolutely.

Russ:

There's a lot more to get into with postseason shoes and like multiple signature shoes.

DJ Clark:

 Absolutely. So Elite Carmelo.

Russ:

Let's start the shot clock. CO, let's talk about postseason shoes. Let's talk about signature shoes, period. But let's make it real simple. How many signature shoes do you need in a year? Derrick Rose has had two this year. He's played . . . wait, let me do the math.

DJ Clark:

No, no, no. Don't worry. In all of points.

Russ:

He hasn't played in any games.

DJ Clark:

 0.1 games.

Russ:

We'll have the entire shoes he never wore.

DJ Clark:

 He came to the games.

Russ:

That's true, and he probably wore them.

DJ Clark:

 Did he wear . . .

Russ:

He wore them like pre-game and stuff. Let's talk about Kobe. I mean . . .

DJ Clark:

Y'all shouldn't put those Elites out. He didn't, he's not being elite this year.

Russ:

Just give them the Elite shoe for the whole year. Why isn't . . .

DJ Clark:

Yes. At least give him the option to play in it so that you can have a reason to really sell it. Imagine. When Jordan was really the guy, if he didn't get to the postseason, we'd have been unhappy with his shoe.

Russ:

Whoa. Jordan not getting to the postseason, I don't understand.

DJ Clark:

So maybe that's the wrong one.

Russ:

 What do you mean?

DJ Clark:

 Maybe that's the wrong one.

Russ:

But yo, if I'm an elite player, I want my elite product all year long.

DJ Clark:

 Yes, if I'm elite.

Russ:

Which most of these people are.

DJ Clark:

Why can't LeBron switch anytime he feels like it?

Russ:

Well, he probably could, I guess, but . . .

DJ Clark:

True. So Russ, what's your sneaker of the week?

Russ:

My sneaker of the week this week is the Black/Gold Jordan I that came out last weekend, which I'm sure . . .

DJ Clark:

 Super fire.

Russ:

I mean this was like a mythological color way.

DJ Clark:

 Super fire.

Russ:

They came out in '85. There was like maybe three or four pairs allegedly.

DJ Clark:

Super fire.

Russ:

There's not that many out there. If you have them now, consider yourself lucky. If you don't, consider yourself to be broke very soon. But . . .

DJ Clark:

 Damn. Super fire.

Russ:

 What you got man?

DJ Clark:

Okay. Well what I got is the LeBron 9 Low "War Vet." I designed them for LeBron. A lot of people don't know the back story. LeBron went to war last year to become a champion and he won. He deserved a shoe that represented going to war, and it was a gift to him, friends and family, and he liked them. He wore them. He's been wearing them. You know what I mean?

Russ:

Not bad. That's a good sign.

DJ Clark:

I designed shoes for LeBron. He wears them. They're pretty nice.

Russ:

 Very nice.

DJ Clark:

And that's my sneaker of the week, not because I did it, but because it was a testament to the man LeBron James, my homie.

Russ:

 Done.

DJ Clark:

 Done. Super fire.

Russ:

All right. So that's it. Hit the end. Another episode. Bam. Cut. We've done it again.

DJ Clark:

And we don't need no hook for this shit. Peace. Wear your damn sneakers.

In the latest Quickstrike episode, DJ Clark Kent and Russ Bengtson discuss the importance of the Shaq Attaq and Shaquille O'Neal's return to Reebok. Then, considering it is the post-season, they discuss the importance of the Nike Basketball Elite releases and ask an important question, why don't players have access to Elite models all season? Clark and Russ then unveil their choices for sneaker of the week.
