It's still hard to know what the ethical norms on the Internet are, something which permeated across a number of the most interesting tech stories this week. Technologists are speeding into the ethical breach, experimenting with what's possible in non-physical encounters, using Internet connections to remotely control other body parts, transforming faces into ATM cards, and imposing strangely hypocritical standards on what can be tagged in Tumblr posts. When we are face to face, it's possible to tell right from wrong, but when we're separated from one another by computers, cell phones, and network connections the distinction becomes much blurrier.
