Yahoo Flexes More Muscle and Reportedly Offers Up to $800 Million for Hulu

Hulu is up for sale, and Yahoo has its eyes set on it. If the Tumblr sale shows the world anything, what Yahoo wants, Yahoo gets. According to All Things D, the company has reportedly put in a bid between $600 million and $800 million for Hulu. The numbers could fluctuate from here on out, depending on how much Hulu's current owners—made up of Fox, ABC, and Comcast—want to keep control over the company (less control, the bigger the price, and vice versa).

Is this a smart move down the line, or are they writing their own death wish?
