19. Desktop Publishing Takes Off With Mac Plus and LaserWriter

Nowadays you can't throw a rock in a publishing company without hitting a Mac. All that started with the Mac Plus and the LaserWriter. The latter was one of the first laser printers affordable enough for the masses, and the first one available for the Mac platform. Thanks to tight Macintosh Office integration, people were able to get their Rupert Murdoch on for a small fraction of the price.
