Read About Cornell University's Growing Tech School in NYC
After being awarded first place in Mayor Bloomberg's contest to create a new, state-of-the-art science school, Cornell NYC Tech began its beta class in January with eight students. As for what's next, the New York Times reports: "Last month, plans for the 12-acre campus on Roosevelt Island won approval from the City Planning Commission and have gone to the City Council for final approval. When finished, in about 25 years, the campus is projected to have more than 2,000 students and two million square feet of space. The timetable calls for the first building to open in 2017."
