Thanks to designers Shi Jian, Sun Jiahao, and Li Ke, foreign language translation may soon be at your fingertips, literally. The three designers created The Ivy Guide, a scanning tool that can, for example, translate English into Chinese the moment you underlie them.
For those already skeptical about leaving marks, donâ€™t worry, the underlying is clear. The Ivy Guide works as a scanner that attaches to a pen or a pencil, tracks the underlined word, and then projects the translation of that word onto your page.
Although it is still just a concept, this revolutionary technology could possibly make learning different languages that much easier. Provided that The Ivy Guide goes into production, that is.
