6.5 Million Passwords On LinkedIn Have Been Compromised

If you have a LinkedIn account, you may want to change your password now. Like, right now. According to both security researcher Per Thorsheim and Norweigan IT website Dagens IT, the website has been breached with the private information being sent to a Russian hacker site, which has posted the passwords and requested help in cracking them.

With around 150 million users, less than 10% of the entire LinkedIn database is experiencing the breach. However, you could easily be one of the people affected. And while it believed that an individual's personal information may be accessible as well, it doesn't hurt to go ahead and change your password immediately. After all, it's better to be safe than very, very sorry.
