AOL Ventures into Mobile Gaming with Video Sharing Game 'Clucks'

If popular party game taboo was too analog for you, AOL has just the solution: Clucks.

Clucks is the first mobile game from AOL and it's basically a full-on jack of Taboo. Similar to Taboo, Clucks challenges users to describe a word to their friends. Descriptions are done with 12-second clips on your iPhone, thanks to mobile video sharing app, Viddy. Certain words are banned from descriptions, requiring more creativity and cleaver thinking.

The voice recognition software of the iPhone plays a big role in regards to banned words usage in Clucks. While discussing the game with Reuters, Sol Lipman, vice president of AOL's Mobile First unit discussed the importance of the voice recognition software in Clucks:

"If you use one of those words accidentally or intentionally, it will catch you cheating and take points away."

If you like Taboo and are a fan of the popular Words With Friends series from Zynga then you should definitely try out Clucks. Download it for free for your iPhone here. An Android version is said to be in the works.
