YouTube to Develop System to Tame Comment Section

YouTube to Develop System to Tame Comment Section

It's a widely known fact that if you want to see the worst the Internet has to offer you simply go to either YouTube or WorldStar Hip Hop, click a video, and read the comments. More often than not the comment sections for online video site are cesspools for racism, sexism, and idiocy. YouTube hopes to fix that, according to a report from Wired

During a Q&A at Google's I/O conference, Dror Shimshowitz, a YouTube head of product was asked how to handle negative comments. Shimshowitz acknowledged how crazy YouTube comments were, and said "We’re working on some improvements to the comment system, so hopefully we’ll have an update on that in the next few months."

So, trolls, enjoy it while you can.
