Foursquare Co-founder Is Leaving The Company

Naveen Selvadurai, co-founder of hit mobile app Foursquare with Dennis Crowley, has announced that he's leaving the company.

Selvadurai broke the news on his personal blog, but didn't say what his next move would be.

"After three years, I feel I’ve done all I can do and I’m moving on," he wrote.

Foursquare launched in 2009 at SXSW in Austin and was the breakout hit of the festival. The location-based social network has since grown to over 15 million users. Responding to Selvadurai's departure, the company released a heartfelt statement

"This wouldn’t have been possible without Naveen’s creativity, vision, and tireless work. We’re sad to see him go, but excited to see what he builds next. We can’t thank him enough for everything he’s done to make foursquare what it is today."
