According to BI, Apple decided to pull the app, which was once crowned "iPhone App of the Week, after a user complained about the large amount of sexually explicit user-uploaded content.
Inappropriate content is nothing new for Viddy. Refereed to as Instagram for video, Viddy's most popular videos were often those with the "sexy" tag that contained partially or fully nude clips.
As of now, Viddy is unavailable for download. However, if you already have the app installed on your phone, you can continue recording and sharing videos.
Speaking to Business Insider, Viddy CEO Brett O'Brien said the company is working with Apple to get the app back in App Store once it figures out a way to remove all offensive material as well as a way to prevent that content from being shared.
