The Nokia Lumia 710, the brand new Windows Phone available from T-Mobile, was always a great deal for entry-level smartphone buyers. It's handsome, functional and had a launch price of just $49.99 on contract. Now, thanks to Wal-Mart and Costco, the device is a bonafide steal, available for free or just one cent from the big box retailers.
Wal-Mart has begun offering the Lumia 710 for free on contract from T-Mobile, while Costco is shaking down customers for a single penny.
If you're looking to get a Windows Phone but aren't on T-Mobile, AT&T will welcome Nokia's high-end Lumia 900 and the HTC Titan II in the next couple months. While prices on those devices haven't yet been announced, they'll likely require considerably more investment.
