Nokia's First Windows Phone Arrives In January For Just $50

As expected, T-Mobile announced today that it will be the exclusive launch partner for the Windows-backed new Nokia in America, selling the company's previously unveiled Lumia 710 beginning in January.

The 710 seems targeted squarely at the masses, with a price-tag of just $50. The phone is fully capable, however, with a 1.4 ghz Snapdragon processor, 512 MB of RAM, a 5 MP camera with 720P HD video recording and a 3.7 inch display.

Also of note is the phone's support of T-Mobile's high-speed HSPA data network, which will allow the carrier to market it as the first 4G Windows Phone.

The Lumia 710 will hit stores January 11.
