$35 Tablet On Sale In India

While we were awestruck by the Kindle Fire being priced at a relatively cheap $199, little did we know we were actually getting ripped off, in comparison. Over in India, the first 500 models of the Aakash tablet have been released at $35 a pop, its cost subsidized from a regular retail of $50 to make it more affordable for students.

Naturally, its tech specs aren’t up to par with the iPad or even the Kindle Fire for that matter. Its 32GB of memory might be impressive, but a 366MHz processor and three hours of battery life are pretty archaic.

But hey, for the price of two drinks at some expensive hotel bar, you might as well take what you can get.
