Happy Rosh Hashanah! Google Just Put The Dead Sea Scrolls Online

The Dead Sea Scrolls, the ancient manuscripts that include the oldest known copy of the bible and other holy texts, just got digitized. Google (who else?) partnered with The Israel Museum of Jerusalem to bring the documents, previously only viewable in the museum itself, online.

Digital versions of five of the scrolls, including the ancient Hebrew biblical text the Great Isiah Scroll, were captured in super high def (up to 1,200 megapixels!) and are now fully searchable in their native hebrew or translated English. Watch a video explaining the news above.
