The London-based group The Vaccines are officially taking an approach similar to the likes of the Beastie Boys to music video-making.
For the band’s new single, “Wetsuit,” The Vaccines have asked fans to upload music-festival-themed images to their Instagram accounts, accompanied with the hashtag #vaccinesvideo.
The approach is the first major label music video to crowdsource from Instagram specifically, though the idea is hardly a unique one, as musicians have been doing the whole “You make the art!” schtick for a while—remember the sticker set for the album cover of Beck’s The Information?
