Video: Lenovo Touts ThinkPad X1 Features, Confirms May 17 Release Date

Looks like the wait for Lenovo's MacBook Air competitor is finally over. A new, sort of tawdry, promo video on the company's YouTube channel shows off the features of Lenovo's upcoming ThinkPad X1—Gorilla Glass screen, waterproof keyboard, backlit keyboard—and confirms a release date: May 17.  

Here are some specs for those not familiar with the X1:

• 8 GB Ram

• 0.65–.085-inches thick 
• 160 GB SSD
• 13.3-inch Corning Gorilla Glass screen
