Word on the street is that the new lighter, more enduring, possibly liquidmetal MacBooks are quietly making their way to stores this week. Those stores are under strict order not to tamper with the unidentified sealed packages. Over at the online Apple store, the current line of MacBook Pros are unavailable for shipping for the next 3-5 days, leading some to believe that the company is creating a buffer zone for introducing the new hotness.
We've been hearing rumors of new MacBook Pros for a while, and retailers have reported that they haven't been able to place new orders on the existing line. In keeping with the standard set by the 2010 MacBook Airs, the new objects of lust and envy for creatives and aesthetes everywhere are expected to come in a lighter, thinner package in addition to the usual internal upgrades.
