Backstory: Teenager John Katehis responded to a sex-partner ad posted by ABC News Radio host George Weber and met the anchor at his apartment in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, where he bounded and stabbed Weber over 50 times. Katehis claimed he murdered Weber in self-defense and blacked out during the incident, but remembered being given lines of cocaine and alcohol by the victim. Some reports claim Weber paid Katehis to beat him up and smother him during sadomasochistic sex.
Punishment: After pleading not guilty to second-degree murder, Katehis was freed due impart to a mistrial after one juror voted not guilty.
