The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is actually trying to make your life easier. For the 2011 tax season, everyone's favorite government bureau has released a free smartphone app called IRS2Go. The app, available for iPhone and handsets running Android, will allow tax payers to keep track of their returns. It will also impart some tax tips such as what to do about education and child tax credits.
On top launching its first smartphone app, the IRS has also joined Twitter, where it will be tweeting about changes in tax procedures and tax laws under the alias @IRSnews. So if you need some tax info—we're looking at you, Nas—download the app and peep the Twitter page before April 15.
