The Shining
The Shining is a 1980 horror film directed by Stanley Kubrick and starring Jack Nicholson. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King. A writer takes a job as an off-season caretaker at an isolated hotel and gradually becomes influenced by a supernatural presence; he descends into madness and attempts to murder his wife and son.
