Gucci Mane, hailing from Alabama is partially responsible for keeping trap music alive. Gaining momentum and fame in Atlanta, he is a close affiliate with Waka Flocka Flame and O.J. Da Juiceman. He is now somewhat of a crossover rapper. Give thanks to Mariah Carey for that. They collaborated in 2009.
