While the majority of streetwear is entrenched in skate and music culture, Neighborhood's subcultural approach is geared to motorcycle lifestyle. Shinsuke Takizawa founded the Harajuku brand in 1994 as a means to express these interests, and has since made a name through Neighborhood's heavily washed, overly distressed, and extremely-priced premium denim offerings and leather jackets.
