Undefeated, a streetwear staple in Los Angeles for 15 years now, is primarily known for its immense sneaker selection. But over that decade-and-a-half, the clothing selection has become just as reliable, especially for true streetwear heads. The brainchild of Comme des Garçons’ own Rei Kawakubo, Dover Street Market earns its stripes as a champion of the avant garde fashion community. With a layout and inventory unlike any other store, DSM is a monument to high fashion, but it’s also a reliable resource for streetwear—especially with the brands that fill its T-shirt spaces. Most of its selection hails from the world of skateboarding (Bronze 56K, Bianca Chandon, Quartersnacks, Dime, Fucking Awesome, and Alltimers, to name a few), but others worth exploring also line the virtual shelves like Paccbet, the up-and-coming Thames, Noon Goons, and even Timberland collaborations.

Union Los Angeles founder Chris Gibbs knows his stuff. While most shops on this list stick to a fairly approachable definition of streetwear, Haven commits to its particular aesthetic and delivers a look that few other shops would even try to carry. The Canadian retailer carries limited edition and rare T-shirt capsules and hats, as well as a bevy of high-end techwear and covetable Japanese labels. You can find everything from unbeatable outerwear from Ten C and Acronym, simpler pieces from Cav Empt or Wtaps, and base layers from Reigning Champ, Nike Sportswear, and Human Made.

Primarily known for its sneaker collaborations—specifically those with Asics and New Balance—Concepts has also built a reputation for having a selection of elevated streetwear. While you might not find the graphic T-shirt heavy clothing racks you would at other shops on the list, Concepts combines a lot of heritage U.S. brands with overseas labels to make a streetwear melting post. Their roster includes Canada Goose, Champion, and Nike SB paired with Bape, Patta, Stone Island, and visvim. At Concepts, the world of streetwear is small but mighty.

The Mälmo, Sweden shop is a monument for menswear. A barometer for good taste, Très Bien knows which pieces to stock from each collection, every season and keeps the inventory highly curated. Driven by a skateboard-heavy aesthetic, its selection of streetwear may come off a bit more elevated than other shops, but their list of small-time labels like Bianca Chandon, Know Wave, Polar Skate Co., and Paradis3, are balanced out by heavy hitters like Maison Margiela, Raf Simons and J.W Anderson.

Of any shop on the list, Bodega may be the most truly streetwear-oriented, if we’re judging by the blueprint laid out above. The Boston-based store masterfully blends big fashion names such as Y-3, Undercover, and Comme des Garçons with sportswear giants like Nike and adidas, while also featuring streetwear staples CLOT, Stüssy, and X-Large. Filling in the rest of the roster is an enormous selection of smaller independent brands—Born x Raised, Brain Dead, Deluxe, Stray Rats, Pleasures and more. If you’re looking for that T-shirt-inspired streetwear, Bodega might be the best one-stop-shop around.

Stationed in one of the world’s fashion capitals, Luca Benini’s Slam Jam is an Italy-based boutique that, for three decades, has been providing streetwear options in a place where luxury fashion houses reign supreme. Now a globally recognized entity, customers can access its online store, Slam Jam Socialism, from anywhere around the world. Its brand list boasts heavy hitters sure to satisfy hypebeasts, like Palace, Bape, and Fear of God, while also giving customers a taste of some of the more niche brands on the market, like Awake NY, Call Me 917, and Advisory Board Crystals.
