Backstage at Ukrainian Fashion Label BEVZA's NYFW Show

While a household name in her home country of Ukraine and in her adopted base of Tbilisi, Svetlana Bevza's BEVZA label made its NYFW debut earlier this September. The collection on display—entitled "Realitics," the combination of the words reality and politics—showcased both soft and gritty garments donned by a cast of well-known Ukrainian models. Photographer Cary Fagan was backstage to document the tension and high hopes of the clothing brand's maiden voyage into the New York City circuit.
