Ever since he started out uploading his own tracks onto YouTube, Abel Tesfaye—whom you likely know as The Weeknd—has been one of the most eclectic artists in music. Now, he has decided to lend his talents to helping H&M curate its new Spring Icons collection. Comprised of a number of essential pieces, the collection marries utility with a sharp street style. It includes everything from raw-edged jersey tees to zip-up faux suede work shirts to hoodies with flattened kangaroo pockets, all with tailored pants to match. For outerwear, Spring Icons Selected by The Weeknd features options like a pleather motorbike jacket with a modern and light feel, a golden beige cotton bomber with precise detailing, a semi-constructed blazer, and a lightweight double-breasted spring coat that will round out any wardrobe.

The best part of the collaboration for The Weeknd isn’t even how dope it looks, but how fun it was to help create. “I had a great time selecting my Spring Icons at H&M,” he says. “I love the mix of urban pieces like bombers and hoodies with tailored shirts and blazers. Every piece is both effortless and fresh, which is just how menswear should be.”

The crew at H&M definitely agrees. “Abel’s taste and style perfectly fits the menswear mood of the season at H&M.” says Andreas Löwenstam, the label’s Head of Design for menswear. “He has such a great eye for the little details that matter, and for mixing together updated men’s classics for the perfect tailored streetwear look.”
