Kanye West pledged that he was going to make his Yeezy clothing more affordable. We don't think this is how he meant it.
The clothes from 'Ye's Yeezy Season 1 have been sitting on the racks long enough that it's now getting severely discounted. YeezyTalkWorldwide points out that at certain retailers the clothes are up to 65 percent off.
Yeezy Season 1 isn't that marked down across the board, but retailers like Ssense, END, and Barneys, which is now selling Yeezy through its Barneys Warehouse, have similarly knocked the price of the clothing way down.
You can argue that this news, while shocking, definitely makes sense. For starters, when prices for the Yeezy Season 1 pieces were first announced, the internet skewered 'Ye and the collection. Twitter had a field day comparing the clothes to something a character in zombie show The Walking Dead would wear. On the other hand, Kanye has never had a problem selling out his footwear, and betting on the rapper's ability to sell out anything he touches wouldn't have been a bad move.
On the bright side, Yeezy clothing for much more affordable prices.
