Zayn Malik decided to rock metal sleeves to the 2016 Met Gala. Naturally, Twitter felt some type of way about it.

Though the 23-year-old does deserve some credit for committing to the “Manus x Machina” theme, he did attract a good amount of hate for his robot-inspired style move. And it’s a shame too, because the suit underneath those metallic plates didn’t look half bad. But, as we all know, if a celebrity takes a fashion risk, shade is inevitable.
