Ever wonder what brands you would be buying if you had a little extra cash in your pocket? Well, now we have a pretty good idea.

According to a new study by the New York-based Luxury Institute, over the past year wealthy guys were most likely to purchase clothing from Calvin Klein. Consider it has a huge following that includes celebrities like Drake and Justin Bieber, in addition to people's familiarity with the iconic brand, this isn't too surprising.

The results were determined from a survey given to 3,900 men from across the globe who were required to have a certain minimum income, with men in the U.S. having to earn an average of $150,000. The group was asked to rate 42 brands that included everything from Givenchy to Burberry. What the study found was Calvin Klein was the top brand rich men were likely to purchase, followed by Ralph Lauren, proving that their shopping preferences aren't much different from every other guy. Those two brands along with Brooks Brothers rounded out the top-three most popular brands for affluent men in the U.S.

Worldwide, the top five fashion brands that the men were most familiar, and most likely to have purchased in the past year, were Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Burberry, and Giorgio Armani. Armani also took the top spot for the brand that affluent men from around the world view is most worthy of its high pricing.
