The anticipation behind Hedi Slimane’s Fall/Winter 2016 fashion show for Saint Laurent Paris might just have been at an all time high. Not only was this the label's first show in Los Angeles (Hedi's adopted hometown), but Slimane blew it out by offering a live concert after showing nearly 100 men's and women's looks. The fashion show itself remained invite-only, but fans had the opportunity to purchase concert tickets in advance, playing nicely into the night's setting, the historic Palladium music venue. Along with the fact that it is maybe, possibly, probably Slimane's final show for the legendary Parisian house, the atmosphere was otherworldly.
We were on the scene capturing the street style outside the Palladium and, later, inside the venue as embroidered bomber jackets paired with detailed brogues and sneakers seemed to be the look that owned the night.
